Hey Everyone!!!  Our field guide to the common lichens and bryophytes
(mosses and liverworts) found as part of biological soil crusts in the
western U.S. drylands is finally done!!  This guide contains fabulous
pictures, keys and distribution maps for 65+ species commonly encountered.
It is intended for field use and thus the keys emphasize characteristics
distinguishable in the field, rather than those needing a microscope.  This
field guide can be obtained by emailing cparry at usgs.gov, and is also posted
