[PCA] JOB: Associate Director/CRES-Plant Conservation (San Diego, CA)

The Zoological Society of San Diego's center for Conservation and
Research for Endangered Species (CRES) has an immediate opening for a
full-time scientific innovator to lead a new research division devoted
to plant conservation that focuses on sustainability and restoration of
ecosystems. Must be a conservation biologist using an applied,
multidisciplinary approach to include several of the following areas of
expertise: restoration biology, genetics, invasive species management,
spatial ecology, community ecology, soil science, or rare plant
populations. Desirable is an interest in working locally in San Diego
County, an internationally recognized biodiversity hotspot, as well as a
history of building conservation partnerships and collaborating with
regulatory agencies, NGOs, and academic institutions. Candidates must
have a Ph.D. and a minimum of three years postdoctoral experience.
