Meadow Madness Festival

Framingham, Massachusetts -Sunday, August 26, 12-4 rain or shine. New England Wild Flower Society celebrates the peak of meadow bloom with a riot of color, thousands of butterflies, and a gorgeous family day. Take a butterfly walk with the Massachusetts Butterfly Club. Savor the summer. Enjoy blazing stars, meadow phlox, Joe pye weed, boneset, echinacea, ironweed, blanket flower, perennial sunflowers, Culver's root and many more, some 12 feet high! Meet live caterpillars and special butterflies with naturalist Jackie Stone, right at the meadow trail. See live honeybee observation hives and meet local beekeepers. Take a scavenger hunt and look for costumed characters like "DANI" the monarch butterfly. This year's festival highlights include the magnificent ART GOES WILD: Innovation with Native Plants exhibit with flying saucers, floating gardens, and more. Walk the labyrinth and stop at the mini-garden park to create small dish gardens.
