El Pasoans unclear on xeriscaping

Years ago, a landscaping word popped up that homeowners hadn't really 
heard before.

The term was xeriscaping -- the idea of landscaping with native plants 
that are low water users. It wasn't a concept every homeowner was ready 
for.
