- MEDIA ADVISORY -

WHAT?
During one month, April 2005, Aveda collected more than 200,000 signatures
for petitions aimed at protecting endangered species and the Endangered
Species Act. Aveda will present the petition at a press conference in
Washington DC, to raise awareness of endangered species and the
legislation that protects them.

WHERE?

- At Cannon Terrace, Cannon House Office Building, Washington DC

WHY?
This is a particularly crucial time for the Endangered Species Act which
is currently under threat of extinction itself as opponents of the Act are

critical protections. Aveda is a company that is passionately committed
to environmental responsibility and feel it our duty, as responsible
corporate citizens, to protect and restore the environment and raise
awareness of these issues.
