The 9th International Pollination Symposium will be hosted at Iowa State
University the dates of 23-28 July 2006.
The official theme of the 2006 International Pollination Symposium in
cooperation with Iowa State University and the United States Department of
Agriculture Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) is: "Host-Pollinator
Biology Relationships - Diversity in Action"
Sub-Themes:
1-Pollinator Attraction & Rewards - Biology to Biotechnology
2-Pollinators in Plant Genetic Resource Conservation
3-Pollinator Protection Challenges
4- Impacts of insect or animal-mediated pollination on gene flow.
5- Use of pollinators in landscape management and sustainable agricultural
practices.
