NAPPC Photo Submission Request
National Pollinator Photo Exhibit - US Botanic Garden

The North American Pollinator Protection Campaign (NAPPC) is an alliance of
pollinator researchers, conservation and environmental groups, private
industry, and state and federal agencies concerned about the health of the
continent's pollinating animals. NAPPC is assembling a photo exhibit to be
initially displayed at the United States Botanic Garden in Washington, DC
from May 29th through October 3rd, 2004, and possibly at other locations in
the future. The exhibit will be focused on pollinators and the ecological
and economic services they provide. The goal of the exhibit is to raise
awareness of these species and the issues surrounding their conservation
through visually striking photographs.

Submissions
NAPPC is soliciting submissions of original 35mm slides of pollinators for
this photo exhibit (see below for detailed request). Both color and black
and white photographs will be considered. Each slide should be clearly
labeled with the photographer's name and a slide number. An attachment
sheet labeling each slide with a caption indicating the genus, species,
common name, location, and/or action demonstrated should also be included.

Photographs should be of a high resolution and quality as they will be
displayed greatly enlarged. Creative, original and different approaches
that will capture public attention are encouraged.

Shipping
All original slides should be sent protected by individual plastic slide
protectors, and then collected in a standard 20 capacity slide sheet. Mail
submissions to:

David Mizejewski
National Wildlife Federation
11100 Wildlife Center Drive
Reston, VA 20190

Deadline
All submissions must be received by Friday, January 23rd, 2004. All
original slides will be returned to photographer upon completion of the
project.

services provided by North American species, unless otherwise indicated.
