formation of a task force to develop recommendations for enhancing the<br>
transparency of the Agency's operations and decision-making process. To

the efforts of the task force, the FDA issued a "Federal Register"
Notice<br>
announcing a June 24, 2009, public meeting to solicit recommendations on
how the<br>
Agency can make more available, useful and understandable information on
its<br>

Guidance Published For Comment by FDA<br>

The FDA is asking for comment on its Reportable Food Registry (RFR) draft<br>
guidance for the food industry, developed in response to section 1005 of
the<br>
"Food and Drug Administration Amendments Act of 2007" (Pub. L.110-085).
The RFR<br>
is scheduled for implementation on September 8, 2009, and applies to all<br>
FDA-regulated categories of foods. Only infant formula is exempt from the
RFR<br>
