<dd><font size=2>*The Life Sciences Industry Adjustment Service
Committee, established jointly by NLFA and the provincial Department of
Natural Resources and chaired by Cle Newhook has just completed a report
and recommendations entitled Developing the Life Sciences Sector in
Newfoundland and Labrador: A Strategy for Discovery, Collaboration and
Commercialization. This initiative brought together a
representative group of stakeholders from within government, the research
and academic community and the emerging industry sector. The report
will be presented at the conference.
