We are currently entering the third year of a project attempting to cultivate C. acaule &C. pubescens from an existing stand in Appalachia. The methodology involves identifying an existing stand, dividing rootstock from a small portion of the mature plants, and transplanting the rootstock to suitable locations within and on the edges of the stand, along with the soil that was immediately around it.

So far, things have gone extremely well; details will be coming out in a couple months. I'm interested in any advice from anyone with experience in this sort of project.
