Summary
Respect for plant stories begins with deference towards and citation of the traditional keepers of knowledge about plant medicines including such ethnogynecologically important plants as cotton, Gossypium barbadense L. and blue cohosh, Caulophyllum thalictroides (L.) Michx. The majority of our ethnobotanical information about them firstly derives from indigenous knowledge.
