[MPWG] TRAINING: Tribal Hazard Mitigation Planning (Oct 2020-Sept 2021) Deadline to enroll extended to May 1 (federally recognized tribes)

This training opportunity is available to members of federally recognized tribes only and incorporates traditional knowledge into the planning process, so it seems appropriate for this listserve.


Time frame: October 2020 - September 2021



What it’s all about?


Work closely within a facilitated cohort for one year to develop or update Tribal Hazard Mitigation Plans based on FEMAs requirements and taking climate change, cultures, and traditional knowledge as part of the planning process. Participation will be online with one in-person meeting.



Course Instructors: Multiple guest instructors



Cost: There is no cost; ITEP will cover lodging and per diem for the in-person meeting, but not travel costs.
