Learn these perspectives from leaders in three Indigenous communities.  Patricia Cochran, Executive Director of the Alaska Native Science Commission and advisory board member for Health and Climate Solutions will moderate a discussion on indigenous local traditional knowledges, climate change, and health.


The webinar will include discussion of:

  *   Definitions of "Indigenous local traditional knowledges" and how these knowledges provide insights for equitable solutions to health and climate challenges.
  *   Lessons from Indigenous populations for rural communities across the U.S. relating to agriculture and subsistence fishing and farming in an unstable climate.

  *   The role of policy to advance health and climate solutions on tribal lands and political power dynamics of government-to-government relations in these policy areas.
