[MPWG] USDA Seeks Public Comments on Updates to 13 Conservation Practice Standard (Deadline Nov. 22)

Perhaps an opportunity to address needs for native plants and their
habitats...
*Review and comment on conservation practice standards:*
As directed by the 2018 Farm Bill, NRCS is in the process of reviewing all
of its conservation practices standards. As a result, 94 conservation
practice standards will be revised and released for additional feedback
prior to finalization.

*Currently, comments are sought on 13 practice standards:*
On October 28, NRCS posted a press release announcing an opportunity to
provide public comments on proposed revisions to 13 of these
conservation practice standards

The practices include Contour Buffer Strips (Code 332), Dam, Diversion
(348); Deep Tillage (324); Irrigation and Drainage Tailwater Recovery
(447); Irrigation Canal or Lateral (320); Irrigation Ditch Lining (428);
Irrigation Field Ditch (C388); Irrigation Reservoir (Code 436); Land
Clearing (Code 460); Obstruction Removal (Code 500); Surface Roughening
(Code 609); Waste Treatment (Code 629); and Waterspreading (Code 640).

 NRCS will be announcing public comment periods on the remaining practice
