Hello,



I am writing to share a summary of the nine focus group interviews that my
research team conducted with private forest landowners in northern
Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin in Spring and Fall 2017. The purpose of
the focus groups was to learn how private landowners are experiencing and
responding to changing conditions in local forests in the northern portions
of these three states, the area we refer to as the Northwoods. For more
information about the project please refer to the one-page overview
attached.



If you are interested in a summary of a specific focus group interview,
please feel free to request one. Those of you who provided advice and
assistance with a specific focus group should have already received a
summary of what was discussed during that focus group. If not, please let
me know and I will email you one.



Thank you to all who provided information or advice on this stage of the
project. I look forward to keeping you informed about subsequent stages. As
we produce more detailed reports and articles, we will share them with you,
unless you let me know that you would prefer to not be included in this
list.
