[MPWG] Call for Abstracts - Phytocosmetics & Ethnobotany

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

In the context of the 6TH INTERNATIONAL PHYTOCOSMETICS AND
PHYTOTHERAPY CONGRESS, to be held in SAO PAULO, BRAZIL, on NOVEMBER
27-29, 2017, Prof. Elaine Elisabetsky and I are co-organizing a
session entitled "_Phytocosmetics and traditional knowledge.
Indigenous uses of plants for beauty and body care_". 

The session will explore the traditional uses of vegetal products for
cosmetic purposes, including but not limited to: personal care and
oral hygiene, ritual and ceremonial body painting, tattooing and
tribal decoration, herb-based products to promote and/or prevent hair
growth, protect and/or soften the skin, or makeup, as well as
traditional cosmetic uses of aromatic plants and essential oils. All
geographical areas will be considered.
