The United States National Herbarium
(US) is seeking to fill two Museum Technician/Specialist positions in
the Core Collections Management unit. Responsibilities will include a
wide range of herbarium management duties including, but not limited to,
collections processing, transaction management, facilitating collections
access, fulfilling requests for collection information, and
communicating with external colleagues. This is not a research position.


These openings are full-time, permanent, Federal positions. Starting
grade (GS-7 or GS-9) is dependent on qualifications (see links below).
Salary range is $43,057 to $68,465 per year. There is promotion
potential to GS-11. Location: National Museum of Natural History,
Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC. Only United States citizens are
eligible.
