I apologize for cross-posting, but I wanted to share this opportunity.
---------- Forwarded message ----------
The Yreka Fish and Wildlife Office is looking for a skilled supervisor who
is capable of managing Section 7 consultation processes of the Endangered
Species Act and potentially working with an experienced staff member
on Federal Power Act/FERC processes if there is future work. The office
has 17 staff that work on ESA (7), Hydropower/Fisheries (2), Partners for
Fish and Wildlife (3), a Klamath Basin Tribal Youth Program (1) and
Administrative staff (4). This position will supervise 3-5 staff.

Yreka Fish and Wildlife Office (YFWO) is located in the beautiful
mid-Klamath River watershed, near majestic Mt. Shasta. It's 20 minutes
south of the California/Oregon border along Interstate 5. Species include
the northern spotted owl, fisher, wolf, salamander, Yreka phlox and
mariposa lily. Habitat restoration, fish passage, and working closely with
stakeholders to monitor salmon returns are major foci. The YFWO works with
two national Forests - Klamath and Shasta-Trinity and office jurisdiction
includes most of rural Siskiyou County. Prior to the development of
settlement agreements that have held the FERC relicensing process in
abeyance, a Judge supported joint NMFS/FWS prescribed fishways along dams
in the Upper Klamath.

This vacancy announcement (under "merit promotion" and "open to all
citizens") opened today and is scheduled to close Friday, August 7th.
