[MPWG] NC State Research Specialist position available in western NC

I am hiring the primary support position for my alternative crops and
organics program with NC State University. This position is located in the
beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. You get the benefits of
working for a major land-grant university while getting to live near
Asheville in the Blue Ridge Mountains! This is a permanent, full-time
position that will work very closely with me to manage my diverse research
and extension program. The ideal candidate has a Master's Degree in
Horticulture or Plant Pathology, experience with medicinal herbs and organic
agriculture, experience with experimental field design and SAS, and a basic
understanding of bookkeeping.  Being very organized and a team player is
crucial.  We currently have projects on bloodroot as a dye plant, domestic
production of Chinese medicinal herbs, growing and marketing woodland
botanicals, Echinacea growth and constituents, hops variety testing,
participatory organic broccoli variety testing, broccoli breeding, organic
cucurbit breeding, organic produce washing systems, stevia production, and
