The Serpentine Project (http://serpentine-project.org
is an educational endeavor to protect and cultivate medicinal plants and
traditional
approaches to healing. This workshop is informed by our work in natural
and political disasters, from the coal fields of West Virginia to the
earthquake in Haiti. We are particularly interested in supporting those
who are threatened by fracture drilling in the Marcellus Shale region.
Instructors are Leah Wolfe, MPH, herbalist, who is a certified wilderness
first responder and Charles Schiavone, EMT and firefighter.
