[MPWG] Seeking photos of plants and their pollinators for MPWG website!

Dear MPWG Members!

MPWG is collaborating with the North American Pollinator Protection 
Campaign and the IUCN-Medicinal Plant Specialist Group, to provide 
information on several native medicinal plants and their pollinators. 
Three fact sheets are under production and we are seeking photos depicting 
plants with their pollinators. 

You are invited to submit your photos!

What we're seeking:
Our primary need is for an EXCELLENT photo of each plant with their 
pollinator (see list below).  We're also interested in close-ups of the 
flowers and fruits or the plant with associated wildlife.

The plants and their pollinators: 

Ligusticum porteri  (osha)
Pollinators
andrenid bees (mining bees)
colletid bees  (burrowing bees)
halictid bees (sweat bees)
Thricops septentrionalis (flies)

Opuntia spp. (prickly pear cactus  )
Pollinators
Agapostemon spp. (sweat bees)
Diadasia spp. (cactus bees )
Lithurgespp. (cactus bees)
Megachile spp. (leaf-cutter bees)
Melissodesspp. (long-horned bees)

Cypripedium spp. (lady's slipper orchids)
Pollinators
Cenetus spp. (parasitic wasps )
Bombus vagans (bumblebee)
Dialictus spp. (solitary bees)
Andrena placida (digger bees)
colletid bees (burrowing bees)
Ceratina calcarata (small carpenter bees)
Megachile melanophaea and M. centuncularis (leaf-cutter bees)
Syrphus torvus (syrphid fly)

What we offer: Photo credit* and notoriety! 
One plant-pollinator photo will be chosen to appear on each 2-page fact 
sheet.  Other images will be posted in a photo gallery on the MPWG 
website. 

*Photo credit will be given as follows: photographer's name, year of 
photo, affiliation, location, e-mail (optional). 

Conditions for submission:
Photo must be taken by you. 
Do not submit photos that you don't own the copyright for.
Identify both the plant and pollinator depicted in each picture. 
Provide the information to be used in the photo credit.
The following statement must accompany your submission: 
I give permission to MPWG, NAPPC, and MPSG to use the(se) photo(s) (with 
appropriate credit) as part of a web-based digital library and for use in 
materials resulting therefrom. 

Selections:
Selections for the fact sheets will be made July 15.  We will continue to 
accept photos for the photo gallery until further notice.
