global moss harvest guidelines






Hello--

A number of us have been asked to pull together some draft guidelines for 
the commercial harvest of mosses for discussion and distribution among the 
members of the International Association of Bryolgists (IAB) at the annual 
meeting this summer, with the ultimate intent of providing IAB approved 
general harvest guidelines.  We are just starting to think about this, so 
I wanted to throw out to anyone who might wish to provide some input the 
opportunity to provide some guidance on developing the guidelines!

Specifically, any advice/documents/web links referring to existing 
guidelines for moss or similar NTFPs or to the process of developing 
workable guidelines would help ensure that we think about everything that 
we should.
