Meeting of Washington Area
Ethnobotanists and Economic Botanists

Saturday, September 23, 2006

United States Botanic Garden

Many ethnobotanic resources, projects and organizations are located in 
and around Washington
D.C. including public health initiatives, drug development and 
regulation, crop research, sustainable
development and conservation, and public education. Learn about what 
organizations have projects in these areas.

Open to all students and professionals interested in the ways in which 
plants are used for food, fiber,
health & medicine, materials, design and more. The meeting is being 
hosted by the U.S. Botanic
Gardens and will be held in the Conservatory Classroom.  The U.S. 
Botanic Garden is located at the
base of the U.S. Capitol Building; closest Metro is Federal Center SW.
