The Environmental Law Institute is proud to announce the publication 
of The Biodiversity Conservation Handbook: State, Local & Private 
Protection of Biological Diversity, edited by Robert B. McKinstry, 
Jr., Coreen Ripp & Emily Lisy

The Biodiversity Conservation Handbook is designed to assist state 
and local policymakers who wish to "think globally and act locally" 
by developing a state or local biodiversity program.

"Wildlife survival depends on the proper maintenance of 
biologically-diverse ecosystems.  The Biodiversity Conservation 
Handbook demonstrates how state and local governments, educators, and 
citizens can minimize ecological harm from pollution, climate change,
