information on the Income Opportunities for Woodlot Owners Conference in 
Clifton Forge, VA - Sept. 8-9, 2006...Note that some of our MPWG and PCA 
(Plant Conservation Alliance) members are slated to speak!

Income Opportunities for Woodlot Owners Conference
September 8-9, 2006

Dabney S. Lancaster Community College
Clifton Forge, Virginia

USDA Renewable Resources Extension Act

Virginia Department of Forestry

Topics include charcoal production, propagating medicinal plants, guiding 
hunters for wild turkeys, maple syrup production, managing for wildlife, 
and much more.

A youth program will last the duration of the conference.  Activities will 
include:
• Geocaching treasure hunt with GPS
• Environmental education provided by 4H Extension
Agents and volunteers from Douthat State Park
• Fishing at Douthat State Park
• Hiking at Douthat State Park

Registration Fee - $60 (per individual)
Youth Fee - $35 (under 16)

Registration fee includes conference materials, 1supper, 1 breakfast, 1 
dinner, and snacks.  Registration deadline is September 1, 2006.
