[MPWG] Botanicals today - real or synthesized?

So much flip-flop from natural to synthetic to natural to 
.....................

Common definitions of terminology are essential in order to avoid 
confusion in discussions that employ specific language. Natural products 
chemistry has already defined natural and synthetic as these terms 
relate to 1) the identity of chemicals regardless of how a particular 
example came into being or 2) how a particular example came into being. 
Other proposed definitions of natural and synthetic do not follow the 
established strict conventions of this field.

Potentially meaningful discussions may suffer without agreement on basic 
terms.
