This is to inform you that Alain will deliver a talk at the US Botanic
Gardens, Washington DC, on Friday, July 15th, 12:00-1:30pm, entitled
"Therapeutic Plants in Classical Greece and Rome".

"This presentation will explore some of ancient Mediterranean’s almost
forgotten botanical texts and suggest some interpretations. Dr. Touwaide
will also draw on archeological material to describe the work of ancient
pharmacists. The presentation will be illustrated with pictures from ancient
manuscripts, printed books and archeological discoveries."

Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required.
