Fred,

Here is additional information on potential uses of Ailanthus.

In India the gum collected from bark is known as Hor or Bassora in commerce. In my region the healers use it commonly as veterinary medicine.According to ancient Indian literatures bark is bitter, astringent, febrifuge, stomachic, anthelmintic, antispasmodic and expectorant. Our healers use it as promising substitute of Holarrhena antidysenterica.

Steven, Last year we had a list discussion on the Holistic list about it and
a chinese shaman told us about how it is revered in the orient. He suggested
talking to the plant and asking it to behave but did not get down to any
practical uses. Besides, what is practical for them may not be here. Where
or how do I find this book.?Is Arnoldia a publisher? Fred
