Subject: [PCA] National Organizations Directory and National Events Calendar

Dear PCA Subscribers,

I wanted to remind everyone that the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center has expanded its commitment to promoting plant-related organizations and events to a North American audience by developing a fully automated National Organizations Directory and National Events Calendar as part of its Native Plant Information Network (http://www.wildflower2.org)

With over 100,000 requests to the Native Plant Information Network each week, these services provide you with an invaluable opportunity to promote your organization, as well as upcoming conferences, workshops, special lectures, and educational programs. These services are free and are provided as an extension of the Wildflower Center's mission to educate North America about the environmental necessity, economic value, and natural beauty of wildflowers and native plants.

We invite you to add your organization to the National Organizations Directory and post your events in the National Event Calendar by following the instructions below:

To Add or Update your Organization in the National Organizations Directory, go to http://www.wildflower2.org/NPIN/Organizations/organizations.html and follow the posted instructions.

To Submit an Event to the National Events Calendar, Go to http://www.wildflower.org/?nd=native_cal and select Submit Event.

If you are planning an event the week of May 2-8, 2004, consider cross-promoting it as a National Wildflower Week event. For more information about National Wildflower Week visit http://www.wildflower.org/index.html?nd=nww

If you have any questions or comments regarding the National Organizations Directory or National Events Calendar, please contact Stephen Brueggerhoff, Native Plant Information Specialist, at wildflower at wildflower.org.

We hope you find these services useful.

Sincerely,

Damon Waitt
