Again GAP is having many GAPS (i.e. scope for improvement).Orgnaic farming is not only the practice by which we can get the herbs of same quality produced by mother nature.
 
The recommendations of various agencies for same crop vary.
 
I feel there is a need for broader discussion and much work.

Absolutely right. Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) will be the next big thing that has to be followed in conjunction with GMP if the process of certification has to have any merit. This may also include organic farming. Already there are guidelines issued by various agencies on GAP for medicinal plants.
