Here's another opinion/question for the group on the topic of
certification.

If the certification process is anything like what has happened to the
"organic movement" then small growers and producers will be excluded. In
order to follow the guidelines as set up for organic certification a person
needs at least 40 to 50 thousand dollars a year farm income. Also since
much of what is medicinal herbs is not commercially grown; are we going
make regulations for nature? I think that a non governmental organization
of producers and growers which writes standards that they can live with and
by are far better than another organic certification program as set up by
