Native and medicinal plants are a subject of both science and passion with
many different viewpoints. Remember that while you are passionate about
your viewpoint, others are passionate about theirs. There are a variety
of stakeholders taking part in the discussion, including growers,
collectors, consumers, scientists, state & federal government employees,
and industry representatives. The purpose of this list is to have
beneficial discussion as professional adults among all stakeholders, not
to carry notes of accusatory and/or dismissive tone. Questions can be
asked & answered and opinions can be shared without using inflammatory
language. The MPWG list has almost 300 people subscribed, so please take
a moment to think whether or not all of them need to see your personal
note to someone. I would also like to remind you that the list archives
are publically available on the web and what you write reflects upon you
not only now, but also in the future as people view the archives of these
discussions.

In addition to the guidelines that are posted on our website
(http://www.nps.gov/plants/medicinal/mpwglist.htm), please keep in
mind the core rules of Netiquette:

Rule 1: Remember the Human
