cover to control species such as English ivy and reed canary grass. She has
done some online searches and I have provided some info for her to contact
some local experts here, but wanted to see what the experience has been
using this technique for these and other similar species in other locations and

f or research papers on methods of sheet mulching to control English Ivy as part
of Landscape Environment course in the Horticulture Program I am taking at
Kwantlen Polytech on the Langley Campus. Through Burnaby Lake Park Assoc.
and Wildlife Rescue I have been manually controlling Ivy and experimenting with
cardboard sheet mulching to<SPAN class=408204320-31012012><FONT
face=Calibri> </FONT></SPAN>control creeping buttercup. I am
wondering if you have come across any reseach that has compared different
methods of sheet mulching other than landscape cloth which is not
biodergradable.</SPAN></FONT></DIV></DIV>

to run some trials on various biodegradable sheet mulchs such as newspaper,
cardboard, cocofiber, burlap and if possible a biodegradable landscape cloth (if
there is such a thing). At the Langley campass we have an area of English
Ivy approx. 25 ft X 4ft that we have been given the go-ahead on to run the
trials. I would love to find some background material of other trials or
comparisons I could look at if you know of any.</SPAN></FONT></DIV></DIV>
