Native Plant Sale to Benefit the Local Boys and Girls Club!
Saturday May 16, 2009
10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.
New Beginnings - The Woodlawn Wildlife Area, Firetower Rd & Waible Rd, Port Deposit, MD

Come out and support a good cause and "green" up your yard at the same
time. Many species of native plants will be available for sale with all
proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cecil County Maryland,
Inc.

Native plants are more suited for our area, and therefore require
less care and watering. Many, once established, require little maintenance
and provide great habitat and food for wildlife. Don't know which native
plants are best for your backyard? Master Gardeners and staff from the
Wildlife Habitat Council will be available to help you decide which
plants will thrive in your yard while providing food and shelter for
local wildlife.

Workshops on native plant gardening and composting will
also be available to participants as well as exhibits from local
wildlife and community groups, and the famous Kilby Cream Ice Cream will
be available! Everyone will benefit from this exciting event! Check back
for updated times.

*Cash only! Refreshments will be available.
If you come early, feel free to join the Cecil Bird Club for some bird
watching by participating in a bird walk on the trails at New
Beginnings. Plan to meet at 7 a.m. at the New Beginnings parking area
for the half-day nature walk.
