<P>Natural Resource Specialist</P>

<P>The Homer Soil and Water Conservation District is seeking a Natural Resource Specialist to implement invasive plant control and education/outreach projects.</P>
<P>Major responsibilities: Working cooperatively with landowners, providing project oversight with on the ground invasive plant management projects, trials and demonstrations. Building additional support for management efforts and coordinating invasive plant education/outreach projects. </P>
<P>Desired Qualifications: B.S. in Natural Resource Management, Biology, Environmental Science or equivalent degree/work experience, excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to work independently and working knowledge of GIS applications. Background in botany or plant ecology preferred.</P>
<P>This is a permanent position based in Homer, AK. Pay is commensurate with experience and likely to start around $17/hr.</P>
