There are more than 300 spp that are raised by Ernst Seed Company near Lake Erie, and sold east of the Mississippi. Effectiveness of these seed packets will vary with the area they are used, but can be planted relatively widely. In Europe, they believe plants should come from a source no more than 10 miles away, because they are believed to have co-evolved closely with local pollinators.
