                      SUPERVISOR POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Lincoln County Weed and Pest Control District Board of Directors are
seeking a full-time employee for the position of "Supervisor".  This 
will be an exempt, at-will, full-time position with District benefits 
including health insurance and retirement plans. This position is 
salaried with a starting range of $50,000 - $60,000 per year depending 
on qualifications, experience and education.

Position Requirements:  An agricultural background with either a M. Sc. and
or a B.S. degree in Weed Science, Entomology or closely related field or
equivalent work related experience in the field of weed and pest
management.  Must be certified as a Weed & Pest Supervisor in the State of
Wyoming or be willing to become certified within two years.  Successful
applicant must obtain a Wyoming Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License.

Personal Requirements: Applicant needs to present a professional attitude
at all times and be able to communicate with area landowners, federal,
county and local agencies.   Applicant must demonstrate knowledge of
various invasive and noxious weeds and pests and how they can impact the
environment and agricultural production.   The applicant must be able to
recommend proper weed control methods in agricultural crops and rangeland.
Applicant must be motivated with a strong work ethic. Enthusiasm for early
detection/rapid response to weeds is essential. Knowledge of spray rig
operation is essential as well as maintenance of vehicles and spray
equipment.  Welding experience and fabrication of spray equipment would be
advantageous.  Experience in map reading and knowledge of GIS/GPS systems,
Arc View or related applications is mandatory.  Familiarity in grant
writing would be valuable.  Previous supervisory experience is desired.

Job Description:  The individual will become the leader of a team whose
mission is to carry out an effective weed control program for Lincoln
County Weed and Pest Control.  The individual will be responsible for the
supervision of approximately 20 employees.  The supervisor will hire
personnel, maintain a functional office, conduct a public education
program, assure compliance with State and Federal regulations, keep
appropriate records, help construct and maintain budgets, conduct
contracting and bidding and maintain individual and inter-agency contacts.
The individual will be responsible for helping to educate the public as
well as encourage weed control upon private and public lands.  As
Supervisor, the individual will follow the guidelines outlined in the
Wyoming Weed and Pest Control Act.

Location:  This position will be based out of Afton, Wyoming and will
require work and travel throughout Lincoln County.
