The Pacific Northwest Invasive Plant Council (PNW-IPC) is hosting two one
day workshops July 11th 2011 in Everett, WA and July 15th 2011 in Eugene
Oregon.  The mission of the PNW IPC is to protect Pacific Northwest
landscapes from invasive non-indigenous plants by providing an open forum to
share information and to promote solutions.  These one day workshops are the
first of many that the PNW-IPC hopes to bring to different locations
throughout the Northwest annually.  For more information please contact

Date:  July 11th, Everett, WA

Registration Fee:  $30 for SWS or PNW-IPC members and $40 for non-members

The Everett workshop will be held at the Adopt A Stream Foundation's
Northwest Stream Center and is co-sponsored by the Pacific Northwest
Invasive Plant Council (www.pnw-ipc.org) and the Society of Wetland
Scientists, Pacific Northwest Chapter (www.sws.org/regional/pacificnw).  The
agenda includes talks concerning the biology and management of both aquatic
and terrestrial invasive plant species.  The first portion of the day will
be spent in the classroom with a couple hours in the afternoon in the field
demonstrating equipment and identifying the invasive plants on the site.
Lunch is included in the registration fee.

The Eugene, OR workshop will be held at the Laurelwood Golf Course in
Eugene.  The agenda includes talks concerning the biology and management of
terrestrial invasive plant species.  The first portion of the day will be
spent in the classroom with a couple hours in the afternoon in the field
demonstrating equipment and identifying the invasive plants on the natural
area adjacent to the conference room.   Lunch is included in the
registration fee.
