Exotic Plant Management Team is open . The position is open to both
current employees of the federal government and to all applicants at the GS
11 and 12 grades . .

The duty station will be at National Park Service Regional Office, Center
for Urban Ecology, Washington, DC. Serves as principal advisor for
management of non-native invasive plants for all park in the National
Capital Region: Antietam National Battlefield (NB), Assateague Island
National Seashore, Catoctin Mountain Park, Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National
Historic Park(NHP), George Washington Memorial Parkway, Harpers Ferry NHP,
Manassas NB, Monocacy NB, National Mall and Memorial Parks, National
Capital Parks-East, Prince William Forest Park, Rock Creek Park, Wolf Trap
National Park for the Performing Arts.
Provides guidance and leadership on invasive plant management:
identification, inventory and monitoring methods, mechanical and chemical
control methods, data management, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
compliance, planning and priority setting. Provides guidance and leadership
to crew leaders, crews and park personnel stationed around the network.
Coordinates with EPMT-member parks to schedule and implement control
actions. Hires and supervises EPMT crew members, assures quality control
and safe working conditions. Provides training to EPMT and Park staffs.
Facilitates outreach and education with state and federal agencies and
other concerned parties. Reports accomplishments to EPMT-member parks,
regional and national personnel. Frequently represents the national
program at functions in and around Washington, DC.
