BOULDER, Colo. -- With the help of a $500,000 federal grant, a team of
Front Range researchers is hoping to find new ways to deal with non-native
plant species on the warmer, drier high plains.

University of Colorado professor Timothy Seastedt received the grant from
the U.S. Department of Agriculture to create a project focused on invasive
plant species in the Boulder region. The research, modeling and outreach
effort will try to find new and cost-effective methods for addressing
plant problems in an environment that is seeing dramatic climate change.
