Plants that need no pesticides make insects go hungry?
January 9, 2009
Carol Reese, The University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service
I found myself wincing as I read an article included in a Master Gardener
newsletter. The article was yet another denouncing the use of non-native
plants.
Usually the exotic plant's crime is its alleged invasive character,
crowding out native species. Sometimes this reputation is deserved. Often
it is not.
