[APWG] More ecosystem examples of weed-free Calif. native understories

Hi Craig:

You mentioned that it would cost between $40 million and $1.2 billion to
take care of the non-native plants and manage the native understory in that
Open Space District in CA.  That is one chunk of change.  You said, "in the
future when public agencies purchase new lands, whatever the cost per acre,
an equal amount of money should be set aside for weed management and
ecosystem restoration at the same time."  I certainly cannot speak for my
agency but personally I put a higher value on obtaining the land.  Yes,
there may not be money to work on native versus non-native plants but at
least the land will not be developed.
