Purpose

This Request for Applications (RFA) is to assist the Department of 
Environmental Conservation (DEC) in implementing the recommendations 
contained in the New York State Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation 
Strategy (CWCS).

Amount of Available Funding and Source of Funds

DEC anticipates that up to $1 million will be available for grants under 
this program. Grant funds are provided by the State Environmental 
Protection Fund.

Applicant Eligibility and Geographic Boundary for Projects

The applicant must be a New York State agency, municipality or a 
not-for-profit corporation. Projects must occur within the boundaries of 
the State of New York.

Matching Funds Requirement

All grants require non-federal matching funds of 50%.

Application Due Date

Applications must be postmarked by 6/29/2007. Hand delivered, emailed, or 
faxed applications will not be accepted.
