field days in South Florida. Please forward to anyone within your

The TAME Melaleuca project announces Melapaleuza 2006!

WHAT:
All-day workshop including morning talks on integrated management of
this invasive weed tree and an afternoon tour of a treatment
demonstration site

WHO should attend?
Resource and land managers, certified applicators, vegetation control
workers, extension personnel and anyone professionally interested in
invasive plant management

WHERE and WHEN :
The workshop will be offered at three locations:

- Hendry County: Friday, Feb 3 at Sonny's BBQ in Clewiston, 8am - 4:30 pm

- Broward County: Tuesday, Feb 28 at Broward County Extension in Davie,
8 am - 4:30 pm

- Lee County: Wednesday, March 8 at Lee County Extension in Ft Myers, 8
am - 4:30 pm

WHY:
-Explore the latest control methods for melaleuca
-See updated results from demonstration treatments
-Learn about the costs involved
-See biological control in action
-Earn CEUs for Natural Areas, Right of Way, Private Applicator, Forestry
and Aquatics; FNGLA and ISA certification.

HOW:
Pre-paid registration and a $15 fee are requested, or pay $20 at the door.
