maintains

Resources Program. Initiates and conducts assistance visits at MACOMs

active Army installations. Participates in the maintenance of a
database
that identifies and describes all natural resource assets, the
compliance
status, proposed projects, priority of the project, milestones, and
resource
requirements. Assists installations in coordinating and negotiating
with
regulatory agencies on natural resource matters. Keeps informed of

and state legislation, regulations, and guidelines.

equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities

sciences (e.g. biology, wildlife biology, soil science, forestry and
ecology) or the principles practices, and techniques of environmental
planning and protection, in addition to a strong practical technical
background in the basic scientific principles, practice and

planning, advisory, reviewing, and procedural development duties
associated
with the centralized management of the Armys Natural Resource Program

must be
equivalent to the GS-09 level for the GS-11 and the GS-11 level for
the
GS-12.
* GS-11: Bachelor's degree directly related to this occupation and 1
year
of experience directly related to this occupation equivalent to the
next
lower grade level, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate
education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral
degree.
* GS-12 and above: Bachelor's degree directly related to this
occupation
and 1 year of experience directly related to this occupation
equivalent to
the next lower grade level.
