Calling All Those Concerned About Invasive Plants:

You are invited to attend the 2nd NEW ENGLAND INVASIVE PLANT SUMMIT
on Friday and Saturday Sept. 16-17, 2005 in Framingham, Massachusetts at
the Sheraton Framingham. On Sunday, September 18 a workshop on
identification
training for the early detection of species will be held at New England
Wild
Flower Society's Garden in the Woods. The workshop is limited to 50
participants.

To get in under the reduced early registration fee your registration must
be
postmarked by August 25.

We have a great line-up of invited speakers on a variety of topics
including early
detection, project funding, and the management, biology, ecology and
distribution
of invasive plants in New England. More than 50 contributing speakers
from the
region and afar will share their research results through 15-minute
presentations
and posters.

This is a good opportunity to learn what is going on in the New England
region
to address this growing challenge. It is also a great way to meet and
share
information with others from a variety of professions and backgrounds.

The Summit is being convened on behalf of the Invasive Plant Atlas of New
England (IPANE) and the New England Invasive Plant Group (NIPGro) by the
New England Wild Flower Society, the University of Connecticut and the
Silvio O.
Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge.

For a full agenda, including title of all of the presentations and posters
and
registration and lodging information, go to: <www.ipane.org> and click on
"2005 Invasive Plant Summit."

Hope to see you there!
