[APWG] Fwd: [afrc_list] Emerald Ash Borer

I replied to Mr. Carroll directly but wanted the distribution list to know
that Merit 75WP insecticide from Bayer is now labelled for the control of
EAB. See pg. 4 of the label at:
http://www.bayerprocentral.com/green/labels/index.html

Of course, if the local/state/federal authorities require removal of the
trees, there's nothing to be done about those.

Subject: [afrc_list] Emerald Ash Borer

Does anyone have any information on alternative control of Emerald Ash
Borer (besides cutting and burning)?

See message below:

"We have a huge problem here with the emerald ash borer. The metro park
board here has approved removing one-third of the trees in a metro park
here - hundreds of ash trees. Many more are everywhere. I have five in
my
yard - they are very old big trees. It seems that all of the ash trees are
slated for removal to try and stay their spread.
Is there anything else that can be done beside removal?? Help...."

Any leads anyone could provide would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chip
