Hello Urban Forestry Group,

Troy Shaw of Fairfax County will be our guest speaker for our quarterly
meeting. I would like to thank everybody for the suggested speakers, and
believe me, we should try and pursue every suggested speaker for a future
meeting.

Mr. Shaw will speak about Fairfax County's efforts to stop this recently
discovered forest pest, the Emerald Ash Borer. Please see the link below. I
would like to make a concerted effort on our part, as a professional group,
to get Urban Foresters in the region out to this meeting. Please contact me
if you can volunteer some time to call some phone lists. Also forward the
information to anyone who is a practicing manager in Urban Forestry, or
whom
may be interested in the subject.
