We are seeking a Science Education Coordinator to join the Urban Ecology
Research and Learning Alliance.  The national parks in the National
Capital Region have a research and education partnership designed to
increase awareness and promote research and education about urban and
exurban ecosystems in the mid-Atlantic region.  The Vacancy Announcement
Number is NPS-NCR-03-44 and is posted on USAJobs (#131515).  The opening
date is 15 Oct. and closes 19 December 2003.

Required: a PhD or equivalent experience in Biology, Ecology, Soil
Science, or Education with an Ecology emphasis or a related field; and
strong organizational and communication skills to research diverse
audiences, including scientists, school and college age groups, and the
general public.

NOTE: This position is interdisciplinary and will be classified upon
selection of the candidate from these titles listed: Biologist, GS-401;
Soil Scientist, GS-470; or Education Coordinator, GS-1701.
